  • Defensive Essentials - Coeur d' Alene, ID

    Over the course of 5 one-hour sessions your athlete will receive elite level instruction and practice essential skills in a safe and encouraging environment. We will break down movements and teach proper mechanics for the following skills: throwing, catching, fielding ground balls, fielding fly balls, and throwing after fielding ground balls or fly balls.

    All sessions will be held at 6080 N Davenport St – Dalton Gardens, ID.

    We have been working with coaches for over 20 years and currently consult with some of the best including coaches for University of Florida, UCLA, and Washington State University among others.

    We believe in teaching the game through a systematic approach and focusing on the little things to build a solid foundation.

    InMotion Coaches’ Clinics include instruction in the following areas: teaching foundational skills of throwing, catching, and fielding, developing advanced skills and Sport Intelligence, knowing when to progress, running effective practice drills that keep everybody involved and moving, communicating with players and parents, and establishing and maintaining a positive culture for the team.

    All participants receive an InMotion Player Development System Coaches’ Manual and a one-year subscription to InMotion Practice Drills.

About the Coach

Brian Stranger coached Little League in Southern California and North Idaho for 10 years. After his daughters were born he and his wife Kathy served on the founding board of the local youth softball league and later established the Coeur d’Alene Crush softball organization which has served nearly 1000 athletes, won over 20 ASA State Championships from 10u-18u and hundreds of tournament championships since 1993. Brian has coached at the high-school level and served as a mentor and teacher for other coaches for over 20 years.

As founder and creator of InMotion Playbooks, Brian has most recently served as a consultant for programs at all levels. He has provided customized, animated defensive playbooks for NCAA Division I programs such as UCLA, Washington State University and NCAA World Series Champions University of Florida among others.

Brian and Kathy live in North Idaho where they coach their grandkids and play in the mountains with their springer spaniels.
